Meet Paul

Making portraits and shooting weddings is my passion. I love to help people make memories of the special things in life. Although it’s a huge responsibility, it’s also a very special privilege to photograph your important memories. It only seems fair that I share my story with you too.

My passion for photography started with a polaroid camera Christmas present from my mum and dad when I was under ten years old. As soon as I had enough money I bought my own camera and smeared vaseline on the front of the lens for creative effects. For a long time photography was my hobby helping me to make my own memories of my children growing up and the special times I shared with them and my dear wife Gill (my glamorous assistant).

I shot my first wedding in 2001 on Kodak Portra using a Nikon F90x film camera. Them were the days when you didn’t know if anyone blinked until after the film was developed. When the prints came back from the developers I was so relieved that everything had turned out perfectly.

Fast forward to 2021 I now have four gorgeous grandchildren and have overcome major heart surgery to restart my passion for photography as a professional wedding and portrait photographer.

This is me with my wife Gill and two of our four grandchildren, our sweet Sophia and baby Margot.

I have applied some airbrushing to two of the four people in this shot and have also added a light warm haze which is very kind to over 50s.
